Freelance EIC Grant Writer

FUTURO PERFECTO is seeking to collaborate with an expert Freelance Grant Writer specializing in European Innovation Council (EIC) funding. We are looking for a dedicated professional to partner with us on a project-by-project basis, focusing specifically on the EIC Accelerator, EIC Pathfinder, and EIC Transition programs.

 

This is a remote, flexible collaboration for a consultant with a deep understanding of the EIC's unique requirements. You will be instrumental in crafting winning applications for Europe's most ambitious deep-tech startups and cutting-edge research projects aiming to secure EIC funding.

About the Job

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end writing and structuring of highly competitive grant proposals tailored specifically for the EIC Accelerator, Pathfinder, or Transition schemes.

  • Collaborate closely with our internal team and clients to translate complex technical innovations and ambitious business plans into a compelling, EIC-compliant narrative.

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of a project's deep-tech nature, commercial potential, and strategic alignment with the specific objectives of the targeted EIC program.

  • Manage the proposal development process for your assigned projects, ensuring all components—from the short proposal to the full application and pitch deck—are completed to the highest standard.

  • Provide expert strategic guidance to clients on how to best position their innovation within the EIC framework.

Desired Background

  • A proven and demonstrable track record of writing successful proposals specifically for EIC programs. Deep experience with the EIC Accelerator is highly desirable.

  • At least 3-5 years of direct experience as an innovation consultant or grant writer focused on EU funding.

  • A Master's degree or PhD in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and/or an MBA with a strong technical background.

  • Legally registered as a freelancer or self-employed professional able to issue invoices in Europe.

  • C1+ level English proficiency (written and spoken) is essential.
